2.0 Klinik Kembiri (Neuter Service)

Klinik Kembiri is a dedicated low-cost, high-volume spay-neuter clinic in Setapak. KK provide subsidized spay-neuter services for companion animals belonging to people from the lower income category, for animal rescuers and people caring for strays in their communities. Neutering is a proactive measure that stops the overpopulation crisis at source – unlike other short-term solutions such as dog-catching and euthanasia which are ineffective, expensive and short-sighted.

KK is a joint effort between Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur and SPCA Selangor. Since the inception of the clinic in 2003, KK is happy to report that more than 11,000 animals have been neutered – preventing the births of over 20 million unwanted kittens and puppies.
